Fiesta Tumbling Planter

To make this beautiful planter you will need:
1-14" azalea pot
2-10" azalea pots
2-8" azalea pots
1-60" round wood or metal stake - whatever you choose make sure it is strong and not bendy.
2-1 cubic foot bags of potting soil
rubber mallet for pounding stake into the ground
flowers
* Note- We used terra cotta stone pots and painted each with outdoor spray paint.

Find some nice person to pretend they are a planter so you can have them help you decide where to put your creation.
How about here?
...or maybe here?

Once you know where you want your planter you can begin to put it together.

Insert stake into ground about 2 feet.  You may have to adjust this as you do not want the stake to be visible once the final pot is put into place.

Place the largest pot first, ending with the smallest pot on top, threading the stake through the drain holes.  Fill the first pot with soil before placing the second pot.  Tilt the second pot so the inner edge lays against the stake.  The remaining pots can be placed without adding soil.  After last pot is placed check to see that the top of the stake does not extend above the top edge.  If it does, remove the pots and pound the stake into the ground until the top of the stake is not visible above the last pot.

Plant flowers into pots as desired.
Sit back and enjoy a job well done!
